Belleville Area Humane Society

Belleville Area Humane Society (BAHS) is a shelter which strives to improve the lives of homeless animals in our community through adoption, humane education, and community outreach. JSC helps BAHS in a variety of ways throughout the year. Volunteering includes working at the center to help with animal care as well as helping to staff special events sponsored by BAHS.

Caritas Family Solutions

Caritas Family Solutions provides an array of social services to meet the social and emotional needs of people from all backgrounds throughout Southern Illinois. It operates the largest adoption and foster care program in southern Illinois. Caritas provides pregnancy care and clinical counseling services and also operates a residential treatment facility for abused and neglected children. JSC helps Caritas by volunteering at their various locations and doing activities with the residents, as well as helping at their annual Heart & Soul Gala and Secret Santa toy drive.

Heartlinks Family Hospice of Belleville

Family Hospice provides hospice care to families with terminally ill loved ones. JSC volunteers to help provide meals and bereavement baskets to these families, and also volunteers at the Tree of Memories at Christmas time.

Since 1985, Hoyleton Youth and Family Services has grown to become one of Southern Illinois' leaders in providing emotional and mental health services for every stage of youth and family development.

MindsEye Radio

MindsEye is a radio broadcast for the blind community. JSC members go to the studio and read books and newspaper and magazine articles, which are recorded and transmitted to special radios in the participants’ homes and streamed online.

S.A.V.E.

S.A.V.E is a job training facility for the mentally handicapped. JSC provides support by hosting annual Halloween and Valentine’s Day parties for those clients able to participate. JSC provides games, activities, food, drinks and prizes. JSC members do all the work and supervise all of the events

Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois (VPC)

VPC serves victims of family crisis situations with a primary focus on women, children and the elderly. Services include crisis intervention, prevention programs, children's programs, counseling for individuals and families and education. JSC members donate items needed by the shelter on a monthly basis, make desserts for the More than Just Desserts Event, and help with tasks at the Shelter and Shelter Shop resale store

St. Vincent DePaul Mobile Kitchen

The St. Vincent DePaul Soup Bus is a mobile kitchen that is used to bring meals to impoverished areas. JSC members prepare food, ride on the bus and serve the food to the needy. Members also donate books, gloves, and scarves for those visiting the bus
